Port Harcourt, Rivers State - Rivers State-based singer and songwriter Jikume has reaffirmed her commitment to the state's creative industry as her annual Oshikiri Festival gears up for its seventh consecutive edition this December. The festival, which has grown into a major cultural event, is a passion project for Jikume, who sees it as a powerful tool for showcasing local talent and boosting the state's profile.
According to Jikume, the festival's unwavering presence in Rivers State is driven by a clear set of goals. "We are committed to using our platform and resources to showcase and shine lights of encouragement on talented entertainers and the creative industry of the state," she stated. The festival provides a global-standard platform for artists to "excel" and receive the recognition and support they deserve.
Jikume's vision extends beyond just a single event.
